We are looking for a Head of Talent to take charge of managing employee relations, leading talent acquisition efforts, and undertaking other employee engagement initiatives. The position requires a passion for finding, attracting, and developing the best talent as well as the ability to build strong relationships with all stakeholders and to generate strategies that align with company goals.
This position is fulltime, onsite, and based in Vienna, Austria.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute employee engagement strategies that foster a positive company culture and promote employee well-being.
- Lead talent acquisition efforts, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and hiring for all positions within the company.
- Draft, maintain, and oversee employee-related documents and records.
- Support employee retention by developing and implementing strategies to improve employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention.
- Handle employee relations issues, including investigations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions.
- Develop and manage the talent budget, including recruitment costs, employee referral programs, and other related expenses.
- Manage compensation and benefits programs, ensuring they are competitive and aligned with industry standards.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable labor laws and other regulations.
Minimum Qualifications (required):
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, entrepreneurship, or a related field
- At least 3-5 years of experience in talent acquisition, HR, or other related field, with a strong preference for candidates with experience working in start-ups or high-growth organizations
- Strong understanding of current recruitment and people management best practices
- Experience in conflict resolution, disciplinary processes, and workplace investigations
- Excellent English, including the ability to produce high standard correspondence
- Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- High ethical standards, integrity, and professionalism

- Excellent communication and team-working skills with ability to interact effectively at all levels with tact and diplomacy
- Attention to detail and openness to feedback
- Willingness to continuously learn and develop, including new subject areas
- Ability to work independently
