Data Entry / Office Assistant [Canada]


 

Banff Fire and Safety is looking for applications for the full-time permanent position of Data Entry / Office Assistant

The data entry/office assistant will be responsible for accurate and timely data entry, preparing and editing documents along with general duties to support the office administrative team. This position requires self-motivation and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepare, compile and sort documents for data entry
  • Transcribe inspection report data into the required electronic format
  • Work closely with the Service Department to update inspection/deficiency reports and quotations
  • Verify data and correct data where necessary
  • Obtain further information for incomplete documents
  • Respond to requests for information and access relevant files
  • General office duties

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of data entry experience or related office experience
  • Knowledge of Excel, Outlook and Word, with the capacity to learn new database systems efficiently
  • Adobe Pro knowledge is an asset
  • Ability to enter data into a computer quickly and accurately
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate in a clear and efficient manner in person, over email and by phone
  • Interest in working in the Fire Safety industry is an asset

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $19.00-$22.00 per hour
