Banff Fire and Safety is looking for applications for the full-time permanent position of Data Entry / Office Assistant
The data entry/office assistant will be responsible for accurate and timely data entry, preparing and editing documents along with general duties to support the office administrative team. This position requires self-motivation and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare, compile and sort documents for data entry
- Transcribe inspection report data into the required electronic format
- Work closely with the Service Department to update inspection/deficiency reports and quotations
- Verify data and correct data where necessary
- Obtain further information for incomplete documents
- Respond to requests for information and access relevant files
- General office duties
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of data entry experience or related office experience
- Knowledge of Excel, Outlook and Word, with the capacity to learn new database systems efficiently
- Adobe Pro knowledge is an asset
- Ability to enter data into a computer quickly and accurately
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to communicate in a clear and efficient manner in person, over email and by phone
- Interest in working in the Fire Safety industry is an asset
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: $19.00-$22.00 per hour
