(Mức lương: 14 - 19 triệu VNĐ)The selected candidate will begin the 2023/2024 school year as the grade 3 primary teacher and begin to provide functions as Primary Head teacher during the buildout of the program. The primary responsibilities of the head teacher will be to join the senior leadership team and continue treating the structure, processes, and curriculum for the Primary Program. As the Academy is beginning its second year there are many responsibilities beyond the traditional role of teacher that the head teacher will need to fulfill. These responsibilities can include working with parents, sourcing and procuring materials, meeting with potential parents, and much more. The head teacher will begin their first-year teaching two classes of third graders a total of 16 hours a week in addition to open office hours on Saturday that will include tutoring. The candidate will teach the 2nd Edition Cambridge Curriculum for English, Math, and Science along with creative, craft-based activities in the classroom and detailed, science focused activities in the lab with the support of our A level STEM teacher. Perhaps the most unusual aspect of Academy’s philosophy is in our implementation of the role of Western teachers. In short, we do not hire Western teachers. Instead, there will be Western speakers that will work at the direction of our Vietnamese teachers. The Vietnamese teacher will be responsible for all four corners of the classroom including supervision of Western speakers while they are in the classroom to include assigning them in a way that optimizes the learning for all students, The teacher will be responsible for ensuring complete quality delivery of the curriculum, all materials, and all supplemental objectives which will be clearly documented and not subject to frequent change. In addition to teaching, free tutoring services will be offered to all parents of any child that is not exceling in the program. The teacher will provide these services one on one or in small groups within a fixed time window not to exceed maximum working days or hours. There will be minimum administration activities and all lessons and materials will be provided. It is our goal and our philosophy to relieve the teacher of as many burdens as possible so that they can focus all their efforts on the needs of the students while cultivating relationships with students and parents alike. This role is a full-time position and teachers are expected to participate in all aspects of Academy life to fulfil and ensure our commitment to both our students and parents.
