The mission of the Labrador Friendship Centre is to endeavour to provide the best possible services to enrich the lives of Indigenous Peoples of Labrador through the provision and implementation of social, cultural, health, educational, employment, and developmental initiatives.
The Labrador Friendship Centre is currently accepting applications for the position of Office Administrator/Van Driver for the Little Tree Family Centre.
Responsibilities:
Under the supervision of the Program Director, the Office Administrator/Van Driver will carry out the following duties;
Ensure daily distribution of mail to and from the Centre.
Maintain computerized documents.
Maintain a filing system to meet demands of the office.
Record minutes from staff meetings and other meetings when required.
Maintain inventory of office and janitorial supplies and replenish when necessary.
Ensure office equipment is kept in efficient working order.
Answer the phones and redirect calls or relay messages as required.
Transport parents and children to and from the Centre and activities.
Ensure van is clean and inspections are completed.
Participate as a team member in all aspects of the Centre.
Qualifications:
Experience with Microsoft Suite and other related duties.
Excellent people skills and team player.
Excellent communication, organizational and computer skills.
Willing to obtain Class 4 Driver’s License.
Must provide code of conduct.
Must provide a driver’s abstract.
Assets:
Office Administration Diploma
Class 4 Driver’s License
Written and verbal abilities in one of the Labrador’s Aboriginal languages are an asset
Aboriginal ancestry is an asset.
